Our bike tour will explore the gravel and paved backroads from Red Lodge, Columbus, Big Timber, Livingston (layover) and Absarokee. It is a gravel and road mix surface requiring gravel bike or road bike suitable for gravel, dirt and road surfaces. Minimum recommended tire width is 35 mm gravel tires with tread.
200 Rider Limit. Up to 21K feet of climbing and 370 miles or opt out of layover day riding and fish the Yellowstone River while in Livingston.
Onsite camp with three full meals and route support catered by Yellowstone Kelly's. Skratch Labs is our sport hydration sponsor for all of our bike events. We will provide some additional chews, bars and electrolyte items
Bike tour route support will be placed as close to every 15 to 20 miles as possible. Routes over 45 miles includes lunch on route. Under 45 miles lunch is back in camp at destination town.

This is a camp-based bike tour and that is definitely where a lot of the fun happens. Want to camp but don't want to set up a tent? Read more about Add-Ons & Tent Sherpa.
If you prefer not to camp, we will be in towns with hotels or shuttle to them. Hotels we will service with luggage and shuttles will be available. See hotels in Accommodations.
MASSAGES! Will be available in Livingston June 25 and 26. You will need to book directly with one of these two massage therapists and we can help get you there from camp if needed.

We offer a tent rental and setup service for our cycling trips, Tent Sherpa. This service includes a Sierra Designs "4 person" tent set up for you, a Kelty quality sleeping pad, chair for outside the tent and luggage brought to your tent. This service can be purchased when registering for the event. Add a second person (you are cozy with) for $150. You need to bring your own sleeping bag. Cost $575

Flying in will be in Billings, MT. In May we will send out a survey to find out fly in times. We will consolidate to 2-3 shuttles from Billings June 21 - 22.
Parking will be in Red Lodge at start/finish area.

We know not everyone can give up an entire week to ride so we introduced the 3 Day in 2023 and because it was well-received and asked for again, we will offer two versions: West (first half heading west) and East (second half heading east). Montana Tour 3 Day West meets up in Red Lodge evening of June 22 or morning of June 23. Ride Day 1-3 finishing in Livingston. It is limited to 25 cyclists and also a 50/50 mix of gravel and paved roads.
Early Pricing: $800 until January 31, 2024
Regular Pricing: $875 after February 1, 2024
Need Tent Sherpa (same amenities as above): $300 for 3 Day West
If you start with us in Red Lodge (West), the fee includes a shuttle back to Red Lodge from Livingston approximately 6:30 pm Day 3 (June 25). If you want a shuttle outside of this time, you'll need to self-shuttle. Exact times will be confirmed.
