June 23, 2024, Red Lodge to Columbus 7 – 9 am, Breakfast and late check in. 9 – 10 am Late roll out from camp. Low mileage day on the backroads to Columbus with rest stop at Cooney State Park and lunch at finish. ~ 44 Miles, 85% Gravel, 15% Pavement
June 24, 2024, Columbus to Big Timber 6 – 7:30 am, Breakfast. 7 – 8 am Roll out from camp in Columbus, through Rapelje and scenic backroads to Big Timber. Lunch on route. ~ 65 miles 50% gravel, 50% pavement.
June 25, 2024, Big Timber to Livingston 6 – 7:30 am Breakfast. 7 – 8 am Roll out from camp in Big Timber. Lunch on route with out and back to Natural Bridge State Park. Natural Bridge allows for hiking and adventuring around the Main Boulder – an opportunity not to miss! Route is along the foothills of the Absarokas with close views of Livingston Peak and Shell Mountains. ~ 65 miles 35% gravel, 65% pavement.
June 26, 2024, Livingston Layover Day 6 – 8 am Breakfast. 7 – 8 am Roll out from camp for full Livingston Loop from Bozeman Pass, Jackson Creek Road to Brackett Creek. Lunch on route. If not riding, sack lunch in park. Local opportunities for fly fishing and additional excursions will be available. ~ 75 miles 35% gravel, 65% pavement.
June 27, 2024, Livingston to Absarokee 6 – 7:30 am Breakfast. 7 – 8 am Roll out from camp in Livingston. Bridger Creek Road to Absarokee, lunch on route. Local favorite backroad along old Bozeman Trail. ~85 miles 40% gravel, 60% pavement.
June 28, 2024, Absarokee to Red Lodge 6 – 7:30 am Breakfast. 7 – 8 am Roll out from camp in Absarokee. Backroads via East Rosebud, a Wild & Scenic River) and Luther, Montana. Enjoy the final roll from the foothills of the Absarokas back to the Beartooths. Festive lunch at finish with showers, vendors and portapotties. No overnight camp. ~45 miles 70% gravel, 30% pavement
Airport: Billings Logan International Airport. Start and finish in Red Lodge, Montana.
*Montana Tour and Red Lodge Singer Songwriter Festival will be partnering up to provide a welcoming weekend of fun in Red Lodge prior to the start of the tour Sunday morning. June 22, Day 0 in Red Lodge, does not provide an official camp or dinner. Check in and snacks will be available along with volunteer support and shuttles for those without a vehicle to and from hotels. Welcome messages will be Breakfast June 23 at 8:30 am and repeated at dinner, June 23 in Columbus.
Partner hotels will be introduced this Fall but not later than November 22. About this time, registered riders will get first notice of open registration for Red Lodge Singer Songwriter Festival to be held in Red Lodge June 20-22. Singer Songwriter Festival is an opportunity to start your Montana Tour early in Red Lodge, enjoy music and we will publish local riding routes to start your day.
What about the Beartooth Pass? Come early and ride it on your own OR a Beartooth Pass Ride will be offered June 30 – July 1 covering the Beartooth Pass and Chief Joseph Pass with an overnight in Cooke City. This ride will be limited to 18 cyclists as an all-inclusive ride with hotel, food and full SAG support. Watch for this on the website and in registration later this year.
